One thing to think about is whether to drop off your auto at the airport or have a shuttle bring you up and back the airport terminal. If you decide to look into parking options for your vehicle, you will find that utilizing the airport parking facilities is not the only alternative. In fact, it's most likely going to be the most expensive way to go. You should be able to find private parking facilities around the airport that will charge less than the airport. You will find this to be especially the case close to the larger airports. One alternative to leaving your vehicle at the airport parking facility, is to consider using parking facilities run by private businesses. You will find that the service provided will vary. Some companies will provide a covered area to park your car, whereas some will park your automobile out in the open. One thing to think about is the fact that many rental car or even automobile repair companies will set this up for you as needed. Be sure to inquire if there are discounts for long stays (a week or more). When you realize that there are actually some low-cost alternatives to airport parking, you can put away a little money and not worry about the awkardness associated with asking for a friend or family member to transport you to the airport.
